Common Issues with Safety Cable Locks

  1. During the entire use of a safety cable lock, never leave the lock exposed to rain. Doing so will severely affect its performance and lifespan.

  2. Daily maintenance of safety cable locks is essential. Be careful not to let dirt or debris enter the lock core of the safety cable lock. If dirt enters the anti-theft core, it can cause internal blockage. As a result, the key may not be able to insert smoothly, may be difficult to turn, or even fail to open the lock entirely.

  3. During use, lubricants such as grease, flake graphite, or pencil powder must be applied to the lock core in time. Over long-term use, dense layers of metal oxides can form inside the lock core. Without proper lubrication, this oxidation layer can severely affect normal use. Therefore, operators must ensure the lock core remains properly lubricated to guarantee smooth operation of the cable lock.

  4. Since the lock body and keys of safety cable locks are often made of polyester plastic materials, attention must be paid to thermal expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes. Proper coordination of the gap between the lock body and the key ensures safe and reliable use, preventing risks to the normal function of the lock

Such accidents can disrupt production and even cause serious injuries or fatalities.

In particular, when machinery requires repair or maintenance, improper handling of dangerous sources can easily result in accidents harming maintenance staff. The occurrence rate of such safety incidents is very high. Safety cable locks help to effectively address these risks by locking and tagging hazardous sources, warning relevant personnel, clarifying risks, and preventing accidents.
